About Us - Were all a little mad here.

YO! a little about me. I am curious thinker, problem-solver, and lifelong learner who thrives on exploring the unexplored. By day, I work in operations and technology, specializing in simplifying complex processes, streamlining workflows, and developing innovative solutions to big challenges. With over a decade of experience, I’ve built systems that connect dots, optimize productivity, and make the impossible feel effortless. I’m passionate about making the complex simple and finding elegant solutions that help people and systems work better together.

Beyond work, I’m a discovery junkie who loves diving into the deep end of thought-provoking topics. Whether it’s philosophy, the mysteries of the universe, or the latest breakthrough in artificial intelligence, I enjoy connecting dots between big ideas and imagining the future. My fascination with the unknown inspired me to start Oddly Podcast, a show where we dive into unusual and intriguing topics like aliens, Bigfoot, simulations, and the afterlife. It’s the kind of fun, curious conversation you’d have with friends over drinks, blending skepticism, wonder, and a whole lot of "what ifs."

When I’m not podcasting or brainstorming the next big idea, you might find me reading a gripping book series, exploring economics as a grand puzzle, or playing the occasional immersive video game. I also enjoy creating digital artwork, experimenting with AI tools, and reflecting on leadership, psychology, and the human condition. At the heart of it all, I’m driven by a desire to understand how things work—and how we can make them better.

The Oddly Podcast is an extension of that curiosity. It’s a space where my co-host and I bring together different perspectives—skeptic and believer—and unpack the fascinating, the bizarre, and the unexplainable. We started this journey because we believe everyone has a bit of curiosity about the unknown, and we wanted to create a space where questions don’t need answers—just a willingness to explore.

Join us on Oddly Podcast as we uncover the stories, theories, and mysteries that keep us all asking, "What if?"

Steve Ryan- Host/Tech/Engineering/The Skeptic
Greg Cress -Host/Thinker/Research/The Believer

I graduated from Ball State University, affectionately known as the "Harvard of the Midwest" (mostly by Ball State alumni), the same fine institution that gifted the world David Letterman—and now, arguably, a much weirder follow-up act. With a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a brief stint keeping dolphins safe and guests suspiciously dry at SeaWorld Security, Greg has always had one foot in the rational world and the other squarely in the Bermuda Triangle.

These days, when he’s not podcasting about aliens, portals, and multidimensional Sasquatches, Greg can be found rewatching The Golden Girls, looking for hidden life lessons and hidden easter eggs he may or may not have planted himself. A newlywed with a love for psychics and a soft spot for spiritual energy, Greg is your favorite conspiracy theorist with a heart of gold. He's the kind of guy who'll explain time travel using a toaster and somehow make it make sense.

As co-host of Oddly Podcast, Greg plays the earnest believer to his skeptic co-host’s raised eyebrow. He’s convinced aliens have already visited Earth (they’re just fashionably late), believes Bigfoot might be phasing in and out of reality, and thinks pyramids are less burial sites and more like cosmic Wi-Fi routers. Tune in for the theories—stay for the delightful chaos that is Greg Cress.
